Three Tall Women

Three Tall Women by Edward Albee

Golden Theatre / directed by Joe Mantello

Seen on June 14, 2018

Thumbs-up: Virtually everything was terrific. Glenda Jackson and Laurie Metcalf were outrageously good. Miriam Buether’s scenic design was breathtaking and functioned in perfect unison with the play’s formal and thematic arc.

Thumbs-down: Maybe Alison Pill in the first act? (She just wasn’t as stellar as Jackson and Metcalf.)

Notes: The production had a very distinct aura, tonality, and energy. It was one spellbinding whole.

Score: 5/5
